We think you have a clear idea of your subject and researched your audience, but what is the actual top 10? Knowing these could inform design decisions and help the final outcome. Good contextual understanding with a specified audience and channel in mind, lots of research into existing MTV idents. We can clearly see the style of design you are wanting to achieve and specific influences. Any music choices?, voice over?
thank you for the feed back. The top 10 does exsit already and this has already influenced my design decision's. Perhaps i should of put this in my presentation.
YO! As a man old enough to know what Hip Hop used to be like and as a boy young enough to know what its like now, we feel you have clearly identified your subject and provided appropriate image based research.
Choosing an existing Top 10 was a good decision as it removes any unnecessary additional work. However are you going to restrict your opening graphics to just those 10? i.e. could there be 'words' from other artists (more influential) that may have been key to 'old school' Hip Hop but didn't make the Top 10?
Your existing work is excellent and clearly conveys the design decisions you have made and the direction you are heading in. I would make sure you keep developing the designs, just to avoid having a rather repetitious video. i.e. word appears one after the over and thats the only technique employed.
Overall excellent start, clear understanding of the design direction and great opportunity to express your obvious passion of music with your passion in design. WORD TO YOUR MUTHA!
